Jeffrey Hayes, President and Chief Executive Officer
Jeffrey Hayes is President and Chief Executive Officer of CPP, Inc. and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2005. Previously, Mr. Hayes served as Co-President, overseeing Finance and Accounting, Professional Consulting Services, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Mr. Hayes has also served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Vice President of Operations at CPP. He joined CPP in 1987 and throughout his tenure has led corporate-wide strategic planning, provided corporate visioning, and overseen business operations. Among his many contributions are the 2007 acquisition of APP, the company’s Asia Pacific distributor; the launch of CPP’s Professional Consulting Services practice in 2005; the conceptual development and implementation of CPP’s Technology Division; the vision and transformation of CPP into a customer-focused organization with the implementation of its customer relationship management (CRM) initiative; and the acquisitions of Xicom, Inc. and the Strong Interest Inventory® instrument.
Prior to joining CPP, Mr. Hayes held a number of management roles for international companies such as Marcelo Fiberglass Corporation in the Philippines and McBer and Company in Boston, Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Catey DeBalko, Vice President of Marketing
Catey DeBalko joined CPP in 2005. Previously she was Director of Field Marketing at BroadVision, an e-business software and services provider, where she was repsonsible for all lead generation activities. Before that, Catey spent more than 11 years in a variety of marketing roles at International Data Group (IDG), a global technology media, research, and event company that publishes more than 300 technology-related magazines and newspapers. She received her B.A. degree in English literature from the University of San Diego.
Dennis Diligent, Vice President of Sales and Professional Services
Dennis Diligent joined CPP in 2007. He brings more than 15 years of experience in building, motivating, and leading international top-tier sales teams to his role as Vice President of Sales and Professional Services. Dennis is responsible for strategically directing CPP’s domestic sales efforts which encompass both products and Professional Services. Prior to joining CPP, Dennis held senior management positions at Thomson Corporation and Sylvan Prometric. He holds a BA in International Studies/Political Science from the University of South Florida and an MA in International Administration from the School for International Training.
Calvin W. Finch, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Calvin W. Finch joined CPP in 2002 and brings more than 25 years of financial management and business experience to his current role. He oversees the Finance & Accounting and Legal & Licensing Divisions. Cal was instrumental in the 2007 acquisition of APP, the company's Asia Pacific distributor, and the acquisition of the Strong Interest Inventory® instrument in 2004. Cal is a member of the board of directors of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest professional association devoted to human resource management, and chairs SHRM's audit committee. Prior to joining CPP, Cal was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Coppola Group of Companies and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Zoetrope Group, Francis Coppola's entertainment companies; Vice President and Corporate Controller of New World Entertainment, Ltd.; and a Manager in the Audit and Business Advisory Services division of Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Utah.
David Freeman, CEO, CPP Asia Pacific Pty Ltd and Vice President of International Sales
David is an Australian-based organisational and clinical psychologist with more than 30 years experience in the helping professions and human resource consulting.
He holds degrees in Science and Education and post-graduate degrees and memberships in Psychology and clinical services. He was previously the CEO of two of CPP Inc’s Asia Pacific distribution houses and has now become the CEO of CPP Asia Pacific Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of CPP Inc. He is also a member of the CPP Executive Management Team. He has trained extensively in the use of CPP’s instruments, including the MBTI®, CPI® 260, Strong Interest Inventory® and FIRO-B® instruments and has conducted qualifying programs in their use by others for many years. He is a consultant to many prestigious private schools, large private companies and government organisations in several Asia Pacific countries. He helps CPP in its global enterprises and the worldwide expansion of its business.
Lee Langhammer Law, Publisher and Vice President of Research and Development
Lee Langhammer Law joined CPP in 1987 and brings more than 20 years of publishing and business experience to her current role of leading the course and direction of the company's multiple publishing programs. During her tenure, Lee established CPP's award-winning book division and built it into a brand-name enterprise. She provided the vision and strategy for establishing CPP's Publishing Services group, and initiated an aggressive development plan for growing CPP's training and development publishing line. In her current position, she draws on an exceptional track record in author relations, contract negotiation, and business and product development to build the intellectual property assets of the company. Lee holds B.A. degrees with teacher certification in English and French, an M.A. degree in professional journalism, and an M.F.A. degree in expository writing, all from the University of Iowa.
Anne Tartaglia, Vice President of Operations
Anne joined CPP in March 2005 and brings more than 20 years of management experience. She began her career in the commercial and residential mortgage banking industry. Anne brings her customer-focused philosophy to her management responsibilities which include overseeing Customer Relations, Order Processing, Inventory Print Management, Warehouse, Scoring Services, and Facilities. Anne also manages CPP's Strategic Planning activities, as well as the company's Balanced Scorecard and Customer Relationship Management initiatives. Anne has a BA in English and a Secondary Teaching Credential from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Peggy Vaughn, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Peggy Vaughn joined CPP in 2003. She brings more than 20 years of Information Technology and business experience to her current role. She is responsible for ensuring the stability of all systems and for leveraging personnel, systems, and IS investments for maximum efficiency and productivity. Her ability to manage complex projects from concept through rollout enables her to lead large projects in an effective and orderly manner, crossing multiple functions involving multiple sites. Peggy is also a member of the Executive Management Team. Prior to joining CPP, she worked with GE in its Government Relations and Information Technology divisions, managing the implementation of new insurance products nationwide. At American Express she managed large-scale IT development projects and change management implementations.
Steven Waldo, Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary
Steven Waldo joined CPP in 1999, following 24 years of private practice with the law firm of Severson & Werson in San Francisco. In private practice, he focused on business litigation and intellectual property protection matters for clients ranging from large, institutional lenders to diverse publishing companies, including CPP, with whom he worked as outside counsel for several years. At CPP, Steve’s areas of practice are co-extensive with CPP’s daily business issues. They have included monitoring and protection of CPP’s intellectual property interests and drafting author, licensing, distribution, and other CPP contractual relationships. Steve played a critical role in the 2004 acquisition of the Strong Interest Inventory instrument. As Corporate Secretary, he has various responsibilities in connection with CPP's shareholder relations. Steve received his A.B. degree from Harvard University and his J.D. degree from Hastings College of the Law.
