CPP ACQUIRES APP TO GAIN LEADERSHIP ROLE IN IMPORTANT ASIAN-PACIFIC PUBLISHING MARKET

Acquisition Solidifies the Two Companies’ Strategic Relationship

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 4, 2007 — CPP, Inc. (www.cpp.com), an industry leader in research, training, and organizational development tools including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment, announced its recent acquisition of APP, the company’s distributor in Australia and the Asia Pacific region, creating a new wholly owned subsidiary called CPP International–Asia Pacific Pty. Ltd. (CPPIAP). CPPIAP will provide CPP and APP customers greater product purchase support, global access to CPP’s Professional Services, and a more seamless delivery of CPP’s consulting services internationally.

“This acquisition presents tremendous opportunities for us and for our clients in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific region, including China and India, the fastest-growing economies in the world,” said Maria Patrick, co-president of CPP, Inc. “The successful completion of this acquisition is another step in furthering CPP’s strategic goal of becoming a truly global company.”

The new company, based in Australia, will be headed by former APP president David Freeman, who has been appointed CEO of CPPIAP. CPP placed a high priority on retaining Freeman and the entire APP staff, who will continue to expand publication and distribution channels throughout Asia. Freeman will be a member of CPP’s executive management team.

“With this new development, our customers will enjoy even better service and an expanded product range as we progress into the future,” said Freeman. “Greater synergy, collaboration, and communication with CPP means enhancing our ability to respond to the needs of our customers in the Asia Pacific region.”
